Certificate in Auxiliary Nursing Science

Purpose: The Certificate in Auxiliary Nursing Science provides learners with foundational knowledge and practical techniques necessary for higher education in nursing. This program serves as a bridge for students who do not qualify for the enrolled nursing program, offering an entry pathway through a one-year foundational program.

Duration and Mode of Study: One (1) year, full-time

Who Should Apply: Anyone meeting the minimum admission requirements, male or female, who wishes to further their studies in Enrolled Nursing and Midwifery Science with Symanek Training Academy.

Minimum Admission Requirements:

  • Valid Grade 10 certificate or NSSC (National Senior Secondary Certificate) at Ordinary level or higher level.
  • Minimum twenty (20) points based on the National Evaluation Point Scale in six (6) subjects in Grade 10 (old curriculum) or Grade 9 (new curriculum).
  • Minimum eighteen (18) points based on the National Evaluation Point Scale in six (6) subjects in Grade 12 (old curriculum) or Grade 11 (new curriculum).
  • English is compulsory, with a pass of E or better.
  • Passes in two (2) Science subjects, an E symbol or better.

National Vocational Certificate in Preventive Health Level 4 (Occupational Health and Safety) – NTA Accredited

Purpose of the Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety:

  • Minimum of eighteen (18) points based on the National Evaluation Point Scale in six (6) subjects for Grade 12 (old curriculum) or Grade 11 (new curriculum).
  • English proficiency with a pass of F or better.

National Vocational Diploma in Preventive Health Level 5 (Occupational Health and Safety) – NTA Accredited
